There is a misconception related to the Project Management Office, which is; many people think that the project management office is one-size-fits-all service for all organizations. We have seen many organizations copy a PMO setup from one company to try to implement it within their company.
Method takes an Enterprise approach to Project Management Office development. We facilitate the creation and development of your PMO, so that it is rooted within the heart and across the span of your organization, naturally producing a more effective instrument for strategic delivery and bottom-line impact. We work personally with your team to facilitate the acceptance and seamless integration of the PMO throughout all levels and departments, and custom tailored to fit your organization precisely.
Our specialists have the expertise to aid existing and new PMO’s in clearly understanding stakeholders’ needs, the strategic value, and mission of the PMO. They communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure value of the PMO function for all departments of the organization and its constituents.
The top management of Consolidated Consultants (CC) approached Method seeking advice on improving their projects performance. Executives attended a one-day workshop by Method to discuss how to improve the alignment between CC projects and strategy. As a result of that workshop, Method and CC joined forces to empower a Project Management Office (PMO) at the enterprise level to spear head future project management improvements in the organization. Based on an information gathering stage, Method proposed a three-phase approach that starts with realizing “quick wins” to build momentum, and ends with a fully functional Enterprise PMO.
The third and final phase is currently in progress and involves restructuring the project management office and clearly defining its governance and interfaces with the rest of the organization. This final phase will secure the link between CC strategy and CC projects; ensuring that top management and other stakeholders receive the information they need about the projects in an accurate and timely manner. |
